At the end of February 2020, Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was invited by the Swiss government for a state visit. On the guest list for the gala dinner in the Bernerhof was also the CEO of NEK Umwelttechnik AG, Dr. Christoph Kapp.
At the end of January 2020, the preliminary geological survey in the Konikablo Wind Farm project area was carried out. The specialised company Grundbauberatung-Geoconsulting AG investigated the soil properties and installed sensors for groundwater measurement. The investigation provides first important information on the soil properties and helps to determine the location of the individual wind turbines and the dimensioning of their foundations.

ENERCON and NEK meet Ghana's President on the occasion of the "Compact with Africa" Summit in Berlin
On the sidelines of the Compact with Africa Conference initiated by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and held in Berlin on 19th November 2019, a meeting took place between representatives of the German wind turbine manufacturer Enercon GmbH, the wind project developer NEK from Switzerland and high-ranking representatives of the Ghanaian government.
At the ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum that took place in the Kempinski Hotel in Accra between the 22nd and 24th of October 2019, NEK has signed with ECREEE a future-oriented Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding our Wind Energy pipeline in Ghana.
