Installation of measuring masts at the site of the 200 MW wind farm Konikablo in Ghana completed

In recent weeks, two 125 m high wind measuring masts have been installed on the site of the future Konikablo Wind Farm in Ghana. The meteorological data are transmitted since mid-March 2019.

In addition to the wind measurements that we have been carrying out for years on a 60 m high measuring mast in the project area at Konikablo, we have decided to carry out a further measuring campaign for reasons of the bankability of the project, among other things. Through a specialized installation team working closely with NEK technicians and engineers, two additional masts were installed and put into operation at the site for this purpose. They measure the wind conditions on 5 levels with redundantly designed sensors and transmit the wind data daily to our branch office in Switzerland, where they are checked and evaluated.

Below are some pictures with impressions during the installation.
