On 7^th of June 2019, a 3-unit classroom block of the Hearts of the Father Outreach was commissioned by the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Ningo-Prampram District Assembly, Hon. Jonathan Teye Doku. The construction of the building was initiated by the DCE in the year 2018 and sponsored by ENERCON GmbH and NEK Umwelttechnik AG.

At an interaction with the management of the Hearts of the Father Outreach, the District Chief Executive, Honourable Jonathan Teye Doku, saw the need for a classroom block and initiated the construction of it. The 3-unit classroom block of the orphanage is intended for the youngest of the inmates. Lessons in the nursery and kindergarten levels are planned in this building. Up to now, these lessons took place in a multipurpose assembly hall. Sod-cutting for the new building was a year ago at the birthday of the DCE. This year’s birthday is in the sign of the inauguration. This occasion brings Assembly Members, staff and management of the assembly, businessmen, friends from the media and the general public together.

The construction was financially enabled by ENERCON GmbH and NEK Umwelttechnik AG, as developers of the Konikablo Wind Farm in the Ningo-Prampram District. The financial support of the classroom construction is part of Upwinds Community Investment Plan. Community investments are an important component of the Konikablo Wind Farm’s Corporate Social Responsibility. NEK, Enercon and Upwind Konikablo Ltd. will support more projects during development phase and especially during the operation of the wind farm. Upwind Konikablo Ltd. as the pioneering company behind the wind farm does not only want to develop clean electricity projects, but to give to the local population and especially to the local youths and for their families live perspectives. The company also develops further wind farms in the Greater Accra region.
